    German Sustainability Award goes to Krones

    On 1 October, the winners of this year’s German Sustainability Award (DNP) were announced – and we received fantastic news: Krones has been recognised as a top company in the “Mechanical Engineering” category.

    In its written statement, the expert jury emphasised the consistency with which Krones has aligned its entire corporate strategy with sustainability. Especially, the introduction of the enviro product line, which has enabled energy- and media-efficient production for our customers since 2008, was highlighted as a sign of “early courage to embrace change.” The jury concluded: “The motivation to systematically steer the Krones portfolio in a sustainable direction was intrinsic.”

    The official award ceremony will take place on 5 December, during the German Sustainability Congress in Düsseldorf. Krones will be represented there by Martina Birk, Head of Sustainability, who is especially looking forward to exchanging ideas with other professionals and companies. “Sustainability is always a collective effort – across society. The more people and organisations work together, learn from each other and inspire one another, the faster we’ll reach our goal: creating a liveable future for ourselves and future generations.”
